SIU Paul Simon Public Policy Institute: Women in Leadership, Public Service & Civic Engagement Visit Illinois Capitol

This morning Rep. Terri Bryant (R-Murphysboro) 115th District, was asked to speak to a group of students from the Southern Illinois University (SIU) Paul Simon Public Policy Institute at the Illinois State Library across from the Capitol in Springfield. Dr. Linda Baker of the Institute gave the opening remarks and Kimberly Palermo moderated the opening keynote speakers on the topic: “Women in the Legislature: Philosophy of Leadership.”

“I am honored to be asked to talk about my expectations and experiences in the General Assembly and hope that the women in this program are encouraged to continue on a path of public service,” commented Rep. Bryant.
